Matthew Green, Ph.D., is Director of Academic and Social Programs for Cuesta Community College and lead facilitator of the Central Coast Jung Society in San Luis Obispo. For 15 years, he served as an academic director in college study abroad program, which was the context for investigating the concept and practice of teaching poetic awareness. He presents this experience in a chapter of the book Reimagining Education: Essays on Reviving the Soul of Learning, edited by Dennis Slattery and Jennifer Selig, and more fully in his dissertation entitled, Poetic Awareness: Imagination and Soul in Education. He has taught and lead seminars on depth psychology and culture, and in March 2012, he was one of the speakers at the Hillman Memorial held at Pacifica Graduate Institute. (2014, 2015)
